I could no longer install OneDrive because it insisted that I had a newer version installed, but there was no OneDrive running in any task or service and nothing in the system taskbar, so the nuclear option seemed to be all that was left. I saved over 350GB of data from my laptop to an external drive and completely re-installed Windows. If it were as simple as a botched install, I doubt it would be across PCs. Well, they didn't kill of the functionality because it still works on my computer in both OneDrive and OneDrive for Business. Is Microsoft intentionally killing off Windows? Is this death by a thousand cuts? And, where the hell is my "Share a OneDrive link" context menu link? Now, after I had created the screenshots above and typed all of this into the Microsoft OneDrive forum textbox, at the bottom I see this. So how do I get back the simple "Share a one drive link" context menu option that just shared OneDrive files from a simple link? Basically the installer pops up a message that says "A newer version of OneDrive is installed" and will not re-install OneDrive. Well kcuf me.now the forum won't let me add any more screenshots I guess.
